PhD, CREATIS

Dr. Varasteh holds a PhD in Physics - Medical Applications in Hadrontherapy - awarded in 2016 by the University of Torino and INFN in Italy. His PhD research was focused on the developments in radiotherapy beam QA and treatment monitoring tools.

From 2016 to 2020, at CERN engeenering department, Mohi was working on the Future Circular Collider (FCC) project, which aimed at developing conceptual designs for a post-LHC with an energy of 100 TeV. He was studying the beam-machine interactions by performing Monte Carlo simulations for various elements and loss terms.

Currently, as a researcher in the Université de Lyon and based at the Louis Pradel Hospital, he is working on the SPCCT project in different aspects with a particular emphesis on improving the contrast agents quantifications.
